Turtle Museum ~ Key West, FLORIDA

I LOVED Key West, Florida.

It was about was about 36C with humidity that made it feel over 40C. But, who cares! It was so amazing there. We wondered around on the piers this day and I stumbled into the Turtle Museum.

Great curator, lots of history and entertainment with tunes played on dulcimers! There's just no place that compares to the feeling in Key West.

The Mountain Bluebird ~ Sialia currucoides

Bluebirds are considered fairly common, but their numbers have declined substantially during the last century. Populations have been given a boost by the birdhouse boxes that have become popular in many parks and backyards.

Bluebirds eat small fruits and hunt insects, spiders, and other creatures from above. The birds perch, watch, and then swoop to the ground to pounce on their prey.

Pairs mate in spring and summer, when they construct small, bowl-shaped nests. Females lay four or five eggs and incubate them for about two weeks. Young remain in the nest, cared for by both parents, for an additional 15 to 20 days. Bluebirds often have two broods in a season. Sometimes, a young bluebird from the first brood will remain in the nest and assist its parents in caring for the second.

Port of Costa Maya Cruise Ship Terminal - YouTube

The Port of Costa Maya really is spectacular. It was completely destroyed in 2007 by Hurricane Dean and 18 months later . . . rebuilt and working again!

Beautiful, new, modern port with many things to see and do, but the Port of Costa Maya is just the gateway to an amazing place waiting to be be discovered by you.

We were treated royally by the Port of Costa Maya including having a full size bus at our disposal for transportation.

Mahahual Mexico Bicycle Tour - Port of Costa Maya YouTube HD

Mahahual Cycling Tour - From the Port of Costa Maya, the cruise ship terminal, one of the tours offered is a bicycle tour to a beach in Mahahual, a kayaking experience with some time to swim and then the return bike ride.

The bike ride is easy for all ages as the terrain is flat and or the most part paved. Cindy filmed this basically while riding with one hand and filming with the other.
